About the Author
Alex Kamenev is a Professor in the William I. Fine Theoretical Physics Institute (FTPI) and the Department of Physics at the University of Minnesota. Since gaining his Ph.D. at the Weizmann Institute of Science in 1996, he has held a postdoctoral position at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and the assistant professorship at the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion).

A pleasure to read

This is a shining example of how a pedagogical textbook on a relatively unexplored topic should be written. Although trained in the Russian school of physics, known for its elegantly terse writing which often stops just short of cryptic, Kamenev conveys exactly enough detail for a diligent reader to be able to reconstruct the elaborate Keldysh formalism. The textbook was a pleasure to read, and has immensely benefited my research.
